👀 World’s most powerful general-purpose humanoid? ⋆ 🎹 Radical piano redesign ⋆ 🤓 Ambition vs entitlement
Humanoid robots keep popping up everywhere. AI keeps getting better to power that hardware. And here I am, talking about a piano design, ambition, and entitlement.
Humanoid robots keep popping up everywhere. AI keeps getting better to power that hardware.
And here I am, talking about a piano design in Thing 2...
Does that mean I'm well-rounded? Or is it just the pizza I had? 🙃
Thing 1 - Unitree H1
Unitree Robotics, a leading Chinese company known for creating advanced four-legged robots like Go1, B1, Aliengo, and Laikago, developed its first humanoid robot, the Unitree H1.
It can perform a variety of tasks in different environments such as schools, factories, research labs, and entertainment venues.
Unitree claims that the H1 robot is the world’s most powerful general-purpose humanoid. Let's take a look!
There must be a better way to test these robots than kicking them...

What would you do with one of these?
Thing 2 - Ravenchord - Radical piano redesign
The magic of the instrument is mostly hidden. I wanted to liberate the piano by more fully expressing its form, function, and usability.
- Dan Harden (founder & CEO, Whipsaw)
This is just the coolest-looking piano I've ever seen, and this is for all my musicians and music enthusiasts.
Ravenchord, a piano that looks like a bird. It has a wing-like shape that shows the strings in front of the player. You can see the hammers, dampers, and other cool stuff move when you play. It’s like watching a symphony orchestra in action.
Features
- Pure tone that doesn’t need a lid or a floor to bounce off.
- Optional light feature that makes the strings glow when they are struck.
- Sleek and compact frame that makes it easy to move and fit in your living room.
- Glossy black finish that makes it look like a stealth fighter.
- Lets you see, hear, and feel the music like never before.
Thing 3 - Ambition vs Entitlement
Ambition is when you expect yourself to close the gap between what you have and what you want.
Entitlement is when you expect others to close the gap between what you have and what you want.
- James Clear
Ambition leads to growth. If you approach it with humility, gratitude, and realism, also leads to achievement and satisfaction.
Entitlement leads to stagnation, resentment, and frustration.
"World doesn't owe me anything, but sometimes I'm privileged enough to receive things." is a healthy way to approach it.
